Types of Dentures

Full Dentures (Complete Dentures):

  • Replace all the teeth in the upper or lower jaw.
  • Used when no natural teeth are left.
  • Made of acrylic, and they sit on your gums.

Partial Dentures:

  • Replace one or several missing teeth. in the upper or lower jaw.
  • Clip onto your remaining natural teeth.
  • Often made of plastic and metal.

Immediate Dentures:

  • Placed right after teeth are removed, so you don't go without teeth.
  • These are temporary and may need to be adjusted or replaced later.

Implant-Supported Dentures:

  • Attached to dental implants in your jawbone.
  • More stable than regular dentures—don’t slip when eating or talking.
  • Can be fixed or removable

Overdentures:

  • Sit on top of some remaining teeth or implants.
  • Help keep the jawbone stronger and provide better fit.
